The Grandmaster

Last Sunday i have seen the "Grand master" movie and i was really impressed. It was very different from i originally thought it was but still it doesn't disappoint. the movie follows the wing chun martial arts master Ip Man. Ip Man  is known for popularizing the art of wing chun and training the world renowned Bruce Lee. It was more of a movie based on the life of the martial artist rather than a simple movie that showcases insane choreographed martial arts skills. This movie also portrays Gong Err a daughter of a martial arts master from the "north" who gives up everything to seek a path of vengeance against the man who took her fathers life. Although it was more about the life of the martial artist similar to an biography this movie does account for its promise of great martial arts scenes. Each martial art shown here is displayed gracefully but very forceful and destructive. Its very exaggerated as Ip man sends grown men flying from one hit and that will most likely never happen in real life from punches and kicks. I do recommend that people do see this movie however. My favorite fight scene is the fight between Ip man and the beautiful Gong Err. That fight shows Ip Man going all out although eventually losing he let Gong Err win.
